Agency: Shugart Matson & Young, Walnut Creek, CA — My design and illustration for a brochure & trade show banner promoting the Siemens Primus Linear Accelerator.
Agency: Osborn & Barr Communications, St. Louis, MO — I designed and constructed this spread illustration for Asgrow's soybean products. The elements were rearranged and adapted to a series of brochures and web pages. The flexibility made the client quite happy.
Agency: Osborn & Barr Communications, St. Louis, MO — These are a few of the elements I illustrated and one of several brochures prepared from the various parts. Each different brochure was directed at a specific set of clients.
Agency: Luquire George Andrews, Charlotte, N.C. — "The Power of Insight" was the theme for this Transamerica Reinsurance annual report with "knowledge" and "performance" as their primary message. I created these illustrations to embellish the message and the final printing was very nice indeed!
This small start-up based in South Lake Tahoe is an importer and re-brander of snow skiing and snowboarding equipment. I designed their logo and this initial brochure concept to be adapted as web pages on their website.
This page for their Snowleopard ski boot would be typical of both their brochure and website pages.
Yes, another lawyer joke - this one visual. A tongue-in-cheek promotional illustration I did for Barb and the gang.
I helped design and illustrate this series of ads for Maxis and their SIM line of video games. These were the latest issues of their "Classic" line of games.
Agency: DDB Needham, San Francisco, CA — I had designed and produced the artwork for the Liquid Plumber package label with the people at Enterprise/IG in San Francisco. I then was asked to produce a complete illustration for the introductory ad being produced by DDB Needham. I used my original label art in the ad & illustrated the pouring bottle and sink to complete the project. The product has been a huge success for Clorox.
For several years British Petroleum was heavily invested in developing a solar division with offices and a manufacturing plant in my former hometown of Fairfield, CA. I designed and produced a series of ads for BP Solar based on this "Einstein" caricature poster I did for their "Thin Film" proprietary solar panel technology.
By coincidence, just down the road from the BP Solar offices were the Jelly Belly offices and manufacturing plant. Ripe with creative possibilities I did this poster for a "Just Imagine" promotional campaign concept. I also produced packaging art and an original oil painting hanging in their visitors center.
Along with extensive package work I was fortunate to do fun ad illustrations from time to time for Nestlé candies. This particular piece was done in traditional media (airbrush and colored pencil on illustration board) and then scanned to digital.
Agency: Keller Crescent (now 10 Over 12 Creative), Evansville, IN — After helping to develop the labels for DuBouchett's line of schnapps I designed and illustrated this case card for the Christmas holiday season. With the new much more attractive labels and a substantial introductory effort sales increased substantially. Happy clients are a good thing!
BP Solar did a lot of co-op work with their dealers nationwide. I produced this step-by-step infographic for their Thin Film solar panel production and it was offered to their various dealers with the dealers' logos printed on them for store and website display. I happened to have designed Alternative Solar Product's logo for them as well.
Purely on a whim I designed this hypothetical brochure for Coventry Log Homes after visiting my sister and brother-in-law's home in Oklahoma. That's their home staircase and bedroom in the pictures which I photographed while visiting.
They're beautiful homes built almost entirely of wood with unparalleled warmth and totally customizable. I'm waiting to hear back from the company...
I developed this "Be a Hometown Hero" concept for a local mission in Redding, CA, primarily to reach out to young junior high to college aged students to encourage them to get involved in aiding the mission programs. I had already updated their existing logo and designed these two print ads as and introduction to the "Hero" initiative.
